Case Study
Digital Transformation
We were engaged by a large integrated healthcare system to determine a strategy and guide the selection of a third-party digital solution to streamline provider data management, improve consumer access to care and drive growth.
Transforming Provider Data Management to Improve Consumer Access to Care
The Problem
The healthcare system stored provider data across several disconnected systems and used extensive manual processes to keep it all in sync. This resulted in inaccurate provider information, eroding consumer trust and complicating access to care. The healthcare system knew they needed a fresh approach to provider data management. They engaged us to lead the selection and implementation of a new Provider Data Management system to act as a single source of truth for provider data and powering digital consumer access experiences and driving growth.

THE Approach
- Digital strategy formulation
- Software solution evaluation and selection
- Digital solution implementation
- Change management
We worked with a cross-functional team to co-create a vision and guiding principles for a new Provider Data Management system. Our work included interviewing key stakeholders, researching best practices and the vendor landscape, and gathering consumer insights.
The new vision and guiding principles were then used as a basis for a comprehensive Request for Information, Request for Proposal, and vendor demo process to determine a ‘best fit’ solution partner to meet the client’s requirements. We then managed the implementation of the new Provider Data Management system. This included managing client and vendor resources and designing a comprehensive change management strategy to ensure client teams were ready to embrace the change and drive optimal results.
RESULTS
A well thought out vision and strategy, coupled with solid execution and a comprehensive change management approach were key to the successful implementation of the new provider data management capability for our healthcare system client.
